Poem Draft

Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!

With places unknown to some.
And others magical and beautiful.
You'll look up and down streets.
Look over em' with care.

Wandering around, trying to find places that suits you the most,
You steer yourself in any direction you choose.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.

Yes, there may be errors.
Yes, there may be success.
But just remember,
You'll succeed,
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)

So whether your looking for a place to run away to,
or a place to find your self,
or a place to hide,
just remember.

You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
and you can steer yourself
in any direction you choose.

I think you did really good trying to allude to "oh the places you'll go by dr. susses because i could tell what it was alluding to, it made a lot of sense. Also, I can tell you worked really hard on this making it rhyme, match words to the theme and everything. You put a lot of thought in to this poem, and all the words makes me fill related to and its just great. Good job so far and I cant wait to hear your final! (: although you did really good i suggest you put more about you alluding to the subject and just reread it to make it much better. Mkay well Good luck.

You did a great job with rhyming and you can tell you are trying to allude to some sort of Dr. Suess book. However, try to make it clearer that you are referencing "oh the place youll go" maybe by adding direct phrases. Also, you need to discuss in the poem how this connects to you. Remember the entire poem doesn't need to allude to the book but sections. So that means you can write your personal story but still have allusions to the book. AS(2)
