loveee is what makes you smile when you’re tired (; A synonym is a word you use when you can't spell the other one. Gravitation is not responsible for people falling in love.

Roots and Recipes draft !

“ It’s diner timeee !! “ as my auntie would say whenever we eat banseue. Thats our signal to hurry up and run as fast as you could to the dinner table before all the food is gone. I love banseue so of course I would be one of the kids that would be running for my life just to get to the table. As your run up, you can see the delicious crispy thin yellowy pancake folded in half. When you cut it in half, you could see the steam flowing out into the air, hearing the crack when you cut it and smell the deliciousness of all the ingredients mixed together and binding with the yellowy pancake mix. When my grandma makes it, you can hear the shrimp and the pork sizzle when going into the hot pan of oil, seeing all the steam from the water when she puts all the veggies in the pan and hearing her pour the yellowy- flour mixture to bind it all together.
You could hear all of my aunties and my grandma scrambling to make more for everybody since it would be gone in just minutes. It all started when me and my cousins were all younger. Every special occasion such as chinese new years, birthdays, or even just plain old dinner, our family loved making it and better yet, eating it. When we were little, one day our grandma introduce this recipe to us and every time she made it, it got better and better. We all went crazy for it that we demanded it on every special occasion.
But with such a great recipe, a lot of work goes into it too. Thats what got our family even closer. When ever we make it, we would all gather in the morning and we all go out to go grocery shopping for all the ingredients cause everything tastes better when it’s fresh. Everybody had a different list on what to get so that everybody would get involved. After we where done doing all the shopping, we all head to our grandmas house and start preparing for everything. Even the little kids would lend a hand ! Everybody had their own little job, whether it was washing the veggies, un-shelling the shrimp or snapping the unwanted part off of the bean sprout.
That’s why making this dinner was such a treat because one, we would all get together and spend some quality time with everybody. The second reason is because since everybody got involved we all built some hilarious memories that we would just cherish forever. Lastly, from all that hard work and waiting.. WE GET TO EAT !

Roots and Recipes

The dish I choose for my Root's and Recipe's is the dish bansue. Bansue is a Vietnamese dish that my family likes to make on special occasions, a family gathering, or just plain old dinner. (: This dish is very special to me, because it makes the whole family get involved by just preparing the food. The morning we make it, all the girls in the family like's to go to grocery shopping. By the time were done buying all the ingredients to make it the whole family is at our grandma's house. Everyone pitches in and help's each other prep the ingredients. Since most of my family here is Vietnamese, there's hardly anybody that talks Japanese. In the afternoon it's pretty hectic, we have all the little kids screaming and running around playing tag, the other people in our family yapping in Vietnamese and the kids in the middle helping out our grandma. By the time it's dinner time you could hear the sizzle of the meat and shrimp go into the hot pan with oil. Just the sound of that drives the whole family nuts. You could see the smoke when they open the lid and expose all the yummy goodness and smell the fishy scent of the delightful orange fish sauce lingering around the house. I'm just going to stop myself here because I wouldn't want to spoil everything just yet. And they person I would be interviewing for this dish is my grandma and auntie.
