Dear Mom and Dad,
You are invited to take a look at my GLO Portfolio I have completed for this quarter showing some of my work I ave done for the three core classes (english, physics, and history) over the past school year. After you are done reviewing and looking over my portfolio please comment below and answer this question " What did you learn about your child's achievements and experiences in MeneMac this past year?" Thank you for taking time out of your day to look over my portfolio. Link to my portfolio: http://linaann88.wix.com/gloportfolio-lina#!about/c20r9

This I believe.. Essay final draft
Friends
We all have those closest friends
you can go to for anything. Whether it’s a whole group or just one, everybody
has that one person they can talk to or do anything with. But what happens when
you drift? You start loosing that connection that you once had. That thought
you once had where inseparable was the only word that came to your head when
you or other people thought about your friendship. Or that you were practically
like sisters and nothing would ever
break your bond. But things change and “Sometimes all you can say is, I’ve
learned all I can from this person and we’ve grown all that we can together,
and its time to move on.”
Growing up, I’ve had a few best
friends here and there but nothing like my friendship with a girl I met in 5th
grade. Although, we have been to the same school ever since we were
kindergarteners, we never really started talking to each other when we reached
the 5th grade and that's where everything changed. We became best
friends. And not only was our parents close, but we practically lived right
next to each other. My apartment complex has three buildings and I live in the
south, and she lives in the east. We would do everything together; go out to
the pool, beach, movies, and have sleepovers non-stop. And since we lived so
close and went to the same school, it was impossible to never see her. But it
wasn’t always good with us throughout our friendships; we would sometimes fight
with each other and go for days without even saying or looking at each other.
However, despite all the fighting, we always somehow managed to make amends
with each other and continue being close friends.
That was until we both entered high school and things changed
dramatically. She was a band geek, being involved in marching band and the band
elective itself and I was a computer geek, being involved in a MeneMac core.
Two opposite things, that took up all our time and made us meet other people
with the same interests. Once entering high school, we tried our best to stay
in contact and to hang out. Simply by trying to walk home together or trying to
make plans. But with our hectic schedules and two completely different lives,
it never seemed to work out. And with no other classes together besides only
CAP & Homeroom, we started to drift. From going to talking everyday of the week and hanging out on
the weekends or afterschool to talking for the time we spent together in CAP
& Homeroom, things started to change and so did our friendship. She had found
her clique of best friends with the same interests she now had and I had found
mines. Two completely different worlds.
The loss of a once close friend was hurtful, however, I found
a new group of friends. Having three classes together and seeing each other
every single day of school, it’s hard not to have close friends in the MeneMac
core. Even though our friendship was not the best for a while with the
rollercoaster of ups and downs drama of having people talking bad about each
other behind each other’s back to leaving each other out, it all manages to
somehow work out. But besides all the drama that goes on without our group of
friendship, when we finally find time for each other and to just take a moment out
of our hectic lives to hang out and have the time of our lives, those are the
most memorable memories that are the ones you tend to cherish for the rest of your
lives. Those are the moments that you live for. Those are the moments you never forget. And from the moment you
have those types of memorable times and memories you know that right there is
just the beginning of a long and great friendship.
And from going through all that I have the past 15 years, I came
to the realization that “Not everyone in your life is meant to stay” and that “If
they’re meant to be in your life, you will somehow find your way back to them.”
That even though me and my elementary school friend drifted off, that maybe,
just maybe one day we will cross each others paths again and become great
friends like the good old days. And that the people I have met throughout my
life that didn’t stay were just life lessons that makes the person who I am
today.

Occupy Moanalua
Our team, team teal, decided we wanted to protest on the heavy traffic that occurs every day after school at both the student and teachers parking lot. Every day is a constant battle for some students to beat the traffic by running to their cars so they don't have to sit in the sometimes 40 minute traffic. So on friday, april 19th, we are planning a protest to help end this heavy after school traffic.

Moral Scale
While making this moral scale I realized that I have been doing quiet a few bad stuff. Although they are not bad to the point of murder and what not I realized that it isn't right to do these things because it's not nice & fair.

Allusive poem final
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!
With places unknown to some.
And others magical and beautiful.
You'll look up and down streets.
Look over em' with care.
Wandering around, trying to find places that suits you the most,
You steer yourself in any direction you choose.
And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go.
Looking up and down the streets
Trying to find a place that speaks out to me
Because the last place I was at
just didn't fit me at all.
And when things don't start to happen,
dont worry. Don't stew.
Just go right along.
You'll start happening too.
OH!
THE PLACES YOU'LL GO!
Will be wonderful and magical
that will take to to your way up.
You'll be seeing great sights,
and you are the one who with soar to high heights.
But just remember.
Yes, there may be errors.
Yes, there may be success.
But just remember,
You'll succeed,
Yes! You will, indeed!
(98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed.)
So whether your looking for a place to run away to,
or a place to find your self,
or a place to hide,
just remember.
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
and you can steer yourself
in any direction you choose.
